Latin Dictionary App Reviews

This is a very serious dictionary for serious lovers of the Latin language. The number and depth of the entries is amazing. The interface is bare bone. Form-recognition would be great, but is not offered. However the "search as you type" interface makes it possible to look for words quite efficiently. I love all the quotes and phrases given for each entry. Whats kind of missing is a page with explanations for the abbreviations. Overall, this dictionary is a terrific value, and I am really happy thar I bought it.

The astonishing thing about this app is that it actually costs more than the Lexidium app, which presents exactly the same content, but with much better formatting and several useful features this app lacks, such as bookmarks and and the excellent parser for inflected forms. I dont mean to beat up on this app -- perhaps the next update will leapfrog Lexidium -- but, at the time Im writing this review at least, it is very bare-bones and is completely outclassed by Lexidium.

This is a good app but it needs a rotating view to make typing easier

While typing an entry the dictionary starts searching for a word--a would be useful feature. Yet the search takes a long time and freezes up so you cannot finish typing your entry. More annoying is when I use the back arrow and it freezes to search. Its too slow to be useful to me. SPQR has one for same price that is faster w same features, plus it rotates for easy typing.

Very poor experience with this app! Waste of my money.

Was a great app. Now I cant get the keyboard to activate, so all it does Id take up space. Caveat emptor!
