A good dictionary but its too slow

While typing an entry the dictionary starts searching for a word--a would be useful feature. Yet the search takes a long time and freezes up so you cannot finish typing your entry. More annoying is when I use the back arrow and it freezes to search. Its too slow to be useful to me. SPQR has one for same price that is faster w same features, plus it rotates for easy typing.
